Would you also want to be Limitless?

Yesterday I saw the film Limitless with Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. A film that says that we as human beings, by taking a pill can expand our brain capacity to the limit; that we will be limitless in our abilities. But who needs a pill? Okay, we will not be able to create such a huge contrast as in the film but I, you and us can all by relatively simple means give our brains the conditions to be almost limitless. Elevator Pitch

Do you also get lost in the answer to the question “what do you do?”. Before I learned the elevator pitch I could feel how I gave 1000 different answers the question “what do you do?”, and I was equally uncertain on if I reached out with my answer. Fear not, here’s my latest article that deals with just elevator pitches:

Training materials to a thousand

In presentation skills there are mainly 5 specializations involved: sales, entertainment, training, information and policies. For you working mainly with training programs, this is for you LINK and is good to have at hand.

Death By PowerPoint; Seminar

The crusade against better PowerPoint presentations continues; and has recently received proper attention, primarily through the television broadcast on SVT24 and on SVT2. My goal is that Sweden should have seen a distinct decline of poor PowerPoint presentations within 3 years. And now it is time for the snow ball to start rolling:) If you’re like me hate bad PowerPoint presentations, be sure to spread this You Tube presentation like wildfire to all your friends, acquaintances and colleagues – yes to all whom may be in need of it. Then, us together, will make this 3-year vision possible!

Thanks for your help!

0707 in Malmö

Hello,

Last Wednesday I attended an amazing event organized by the Business Unit in Malmö. 450 people showed up on the battle-house. It was impressive and professional, with good breakfast and positive participation : )

I lectured on Aristotle’s ethos, logos and pathos for 15 minutes and the feedback has been overwhelming. Thanks for all the nice emails and text messages!

As desired, here are the videos I used and the presentation in its entirety.

Steve Balmer – Going Crazy

Hans Rosling – Myths about developing the world

Presentation Statement
Are presentations important? In my own unscientific study based on nearly 10 years of experience in presentation skills, there is nobody or at least very few who would answer no to that question. And of course quality is important, and that is why we have processes for that. For sure, is the economy, sales and IT important as well, and that is why we have processes, routines, and policy documents to guide it.

And finally, after almost 5 years of perseverance and nagging I start to see examples of companies that have presentation policies on how presentations should be carried out in order to best reflect your company. At last!

So if your company is still stomping their feet with only the one PowerPoint template that everyone should use it’s time to look ahead and match, or even be in the forefront regarding your presentation skills.
